Earpiece Volume Very Low after Screen Replacement stuck with problem new ios

On March 29, 2015, Posted by , In iPhone, With Comments Off on Earpiece Volume Very Low after Screen Replacement stuck with problem new ios

Yesterday I replaced my cracked iPhone 5 screen Along with a screen assembly I bought from Amazon. The new screen came complete Along with a new home button, camera, earpiece speaker, cables, etc.

The install went fairly well (those screws are tiny!). Everything works well, except the earpiece volume is extremely low. I can barely hear from the earpiece which tells me that the speaker actually works, but its barely audible. Ive rebooted the device several times and Ive tried cleaning all of the speaker covers.

Could it be that one of the three tiny cables has come loose? I didnt think those three cables were for the earpiece. Everything else works fine so wouldnt think it would be a cable connection issue. Any ideas? Thanks.

hello, probably the earpiece it self is bad, just replace this earpiece Along with the old one, waiting for your replay.

Thanks. I did that and it did not to be helped. I also replaced the tiny cable from the old phone. The sound is barely audible even at the max setting. This was my daughters old phone and she told me after my initial post that the earpiece was not working after she dropped it and the screen cracked.

    i had this problem before.

turned out there was a small piece of plastic film over the earpiece mesh on the new display.

Removed it and it was all good.

    hope this to be helpeds

Wicky, thanks. I heard about that fix and I even removed the mesh screen completely and made sure that nothing was over the screen and the volume is still barely audible.

Until I upgrade my other daughters phone (and Ill get her iPhone 5) later this year Ill use bluetooth, an earphone cable, or the speaker. Im in an office all day so I rarely use the phone at work.
