Hey everyone i hope someone can to be helped me. So basically i took an ipad from a customer to fix their charger port. I took the tablet apart and desoldered the connector from the motherboard but i had some trouble taking the charger port out so in the process i cut the wifi cable. I finally resoldered the new port cable and screwed it in and everything was working fine it charged and came on. Now after i saw it was working i wanted to try soldering the wifi cable together and after that it just would not come on or charger or anything. I inspected the motherboard and none of the chips or ics look damaged especially since i never took the shield off too. Also its not water damaged or anything. Thank you guys.

you dont get reply because in circumstance you now that you did nothing but its dead, what could be solution? you have to find out some clue/fault then we could to be helped you.

anyway, put a good charged battery in your device then put charger and press and hold power button same time check power ic its getting hot or not.
if its getting too much hot then its damage if not go next,

put a charged battery, put only lcd not touch screen then power on your device check under bright light anything visible on lcd or not (its happen when u got a damage light fuse) if nothing go next,

take out logic board out of housing, remove charging flex cable, clean well charging flex connected place on board, now out of housing only connect charged battery, power button and lcd, try to power on see what happen,,

all these try 1 by 1, not sure what exactly your device problem so post reply.

Do what tkowsar said, if that does not work, disconnect the battery and try again. If you tried to solder the WiFi flex while it was connected to the iPad and the battery was in your soldering iron could also have acted as a ground and shorted out your iPad.

ok so i tried a different battery that is almost full charged and it still not coming on, also nothing is heating up when plugged in Along with new battery. Also under a light i still can not see anything. BUT, i tried a different lcd and it came on. So it looks like the lcd stopped working which is weird because it looks good as new. Also so charger port stopped working but i can fix that later. I think the old battery is good but its just dead because i cant charge it. And one more thing, when the ipad turned on. The power button was only responding to long press. If i would click it to turn the screen on it wouldnt work but if i held it the screen would come on and tell me to slide to power off. Is that normal since its in parts or is something wrong?
