Bro, your problem is almost certainly caused by a bad charge IC. Replace (NOT reheat/reball) U2 on the logic board and this should solve your problem.

  2. TechGuru says:

    Hi,

Thanks, the not present components are not important for that problem you think ? only U2 to change ?

  3. kijiji says:

Dont listen to this guy, its not always the U2 IC, you want to get the schematics and see if any of the missing components are CRITICAL! if so you want to replace or jump (if possible).

Thanks that i was thinking to do before,
tell me if im wrong after having a look on schematics,

i must replace C12 and C13 for the other i think i can jump
L20 used for one way charge – synch

  5. RandikPixie says:

    Change u2 ic .

  6. arminasg says:

    Ok,
I have a damaged Board, can i remove U2 on it to replace it on mine ?

  7. tavenger5 says:

haha, yeah change U2 IC, why not waste time and money, changing U2 IC solves all iPhone problems!!!!! lets give good advice!!!

    ALWAYS CHANGE U2 IC

  8. RandikPixie says:

try unplug dock connector an see if still same problem before changing any ic. i solved this prblem 3 times by changing dock.

  9. TechWorld says:

in progress to replace the L20, but really boring to place and weld it.

Just unplugued the dock, ill see if the battery drain again.

    Thanks

These missing components certainly can not cause a battery drain. Battery drain is almost always caused by U2 IC damage.

I remove U2 IC, wait for a new one ordered, does the iPhone can boot Along without it ?
Because since i remove it no boot anymore, normal ?
Just expect that i dont damage board white removing U2

    Thanks
