Hello, I have a problem when update my iPhone 5G Along with iTunes, show error 1 (baseband error). I have a dude, I can replace the IC Baseband for another bought in Aliexpr…. Or I want flash before?

The error 1, baseband is a error of MDM9615 IC or serial interfaces U601 IC?

Thanks

    1. Try Along with your original connection cable
    2. Change USB port
    3. Change computer
    4. Change USB port in changed computer (prefer desktop if possible)
    5. Change connection cable

If these are not enough, if your warranty valid, call Apple, then sent your iPhone 5 to an Apple Store. They will change your phone Along with a new one. (It doesnt matter where you are located.)

    I tried hot (260 grades – 1 minute) in the baseband chip, U601 y P..8018.

    I changed the USB.

    Not work

    any solution?

    Change PM8018 or u601_rf?
    More hot?

    Thanks.

You cant change them separately. Just reball BB chip.
If You want to change U want swap BB chip(U501_RF)/BB serial(U601_RF)/NAND(U4) from other phone.

I too suffered this fate on a customers iPhone 5c that I repaired a screen on. I ended up just replacing their iPhone and later fixed this problem on the original. Of course, I also then realized I was not at fault for the issue and it was caused by the damage (drop and/or water) that I had repaired the screen for.

As you know all the cookie cutter solutions do not work.

I do not have the equipment to do a reball but I do have a good heat gun. So, I did what I think is called a hot air reflow on the Qualcomm baseband chip. I let everything cool down and then put it all back together. Hooked it up in regular Restore mode (not DFU mode), the mode where you get the connect to iTunes screen. The restore completed successfully, where previously it would error out at verifying firmware (Along with error 1 – Failed to handle baseband update status message). If you are stuck in DFU mode I suspect a restore from there would work just as well.

Now it picks up AT&T signal, where it wouldnt before.
