Screen connector life ! ios version issue

Hi,

The little connector that attaches the screens ribbon cable to the main board looks pretty fragile.

My question is whether carefully testing, say, 8-10 screens would risk wearing the connector out? Or are they tougher than they look?

(Im thinking of an iPod Touch 4th gen, but the iPhone probably has the same kind of connector.) Thanks in advance for any experience you can share. I know there are people that work on a lot of these.

    Hi again,

I was hope for someone could share some real-life experience. But I did find some specs online.

The iPhone 4 schematics referenced in other postings in this forum list a part-number, AA03-S030VA1 connector for J5 which seems similar to what I see in the iPod 4th gen. The manufacturers specs for this connector say Life time: 50 mating cycles

I cant post a link, but you can Google to find: the MB-0229-1E_WP3 pdf file.

Im just sharing what I found…always treat delicate electronics Along with extreme care and use this info at your own risk.
