Women in technology: How tech companies can (and should) get more female applicants
With the increasing role of women, in every field nowadays, we need more female applicants in the tech companies as well. Although in the past few years, the number of female workers in the tech companies has increased, but still we wish to have more female workers, we wish to empower them even more and get them into the tech companies.
We need more women to be working with us in tech companies as we already know that companies which are more gender diverse, tend to outperform those that are led by a particular gender. An equal representation means an equality of say and equality in decision making, hence making it more acceptable my masses. Other than this, tech field is a more paying job, and the dominance of male gender in this field reinforces the nationwide disparities between genders. So more women in this field would help change this image and establish a more unbiased image.
So now we’ve come up with some steps that might be taken in order to promote women in the tech field and in the tech companies. We initially would want the companies to open doors for the less trained candidates, now here we are not suggesting that you take candidates that lack knowledge, but do take candidates that lack work experience and provide them with good work experience.
Get involved with the STEM program of the female students, and help them get into the tech companies from the start. Moreover we need to facilitate female membership and leadership. Publish them in you press releases, and quote them in your social campaigns. Work with these female strugglers and help them in their success route.
The most important step that we need to take immediately is that we need to start encouraging the younger generation from this day onwards so that they know their aspects.
